Winter menagerie at the feeders

Pheasant and bobwhite quail

Pheasants and Bobwhite quail are shown here under my feeders. This is the first year I have seen the quail. They started coming after an icy and snowy week in mid December and they have continued to come off and on as the snows have continued. Both species are not only under the feeder in the woods but have come inside the fence to other feeders.
It is fun to watch the quail scoot across the snow...their legs are so short you only see the body skim over the snow.
After seeing photos of other's with turkeys at their feeders, thought this would add to the winter menagerie.

How neat to see pheasants and quail at your feeder! All I get is Yellow finches, Chickadees and Tit Mouse at mine. I haven't see pheasants or quail in so long, good to see them again, thanks so much for sharing!

Too Cute !

Moni ... I loved your description of how they scoot across the snow. I wish I had a big garden near the country so I could see such great wildlife too !
