The photo was taken on January 21, 2008, looking northeast over blueberry fields towards the Coastal mountains which are 30+ km away. I shot the photo off No. 3 Road in Richmond which, being a delta, is very flat. The blueberry bushes are bare, but the bark goes red in the winter. The Coastal range is always snow-capped in the winter.

Very Nice, I've saved it to my puter. Interesting, how the various, graduating layers, emerge presume to the west exposure, into the cloyds/mist of the sky. Yet, the perfectly horizontal, sandy road access road, breaks up any monotony, for an artist, would love to capture this scene. Time, place, exposure, and what fruit is there, would help me. Even the color, is great, au natural. In ON, we don't have mountains like that, really foothills so to speak, but I luv to climb them, rather used too.

Beautiful Patterns

Your eye caught these beautiful patterns. And we're all the richer for it. The contrast of the poplar gold against the dark, the red against the gold of the road (?) - reminds me of a medieval tapestry.
I'm partial to poplars. I'm sure glad someone else is too.

This is my favourite picture. I prefer green winters, so the snow off on the horizon is enough for me. I, too, love the colours. This picture even reminds me of Italy. Bellisimo!

What a view

The colors and various heights of the different plants followed by the mountains makes a very neat scene.
Would be nice if the mountains showed up a little more...but that is nature.
Enjoy seeing the red of the blueberries...yum.
