Weed-Buttercup

Doug, How can I get rid of buttercup? I pick off as many runners as I can, but they still thrive.

Doug says - in flower gardens, pick more but dig out the roots - picking off runners doesn't kill the mother plant. :-)

If you're talking about buttercups in lawns, then your turf isn't thick enough. See the instructions for growing great lawns right here. And the same deal holds true here - you have to get the mother plants - picking off runners isn't going to stop a darn thing other than inconvenience the mother plant. :-)
