If you have had it as cool in the mornings in MO as we have had in Iowa, they need the heat to get them going. They are not warm blooded like we are. It has been record cool in IA this year.

I've noticed this year also....except mine are in the lavender. I have to be careful when harvesting! The same with the regular honey bees! I like seeing them!
