raspberries wilting

I have a raspberry patch in a garden box 10 x 4'. I transplanted neighbors starts 2 years ago. Last summer I noticed tall seemingly good condition canes some with fruit, some not completely wilt to the top and die. I removed those canes. This year I am noticing same thing but with more canes affected.
I am reasonably sure it isn't verticillium wilt and cannot find borer signs on any. Water and sun in Utah are great. Help? Raspberry yield is still quite low. Plants may be overcrowded.
Thank you for all your time and research shared.

Doug says that raspberry canes that wilt in the middle of the summer are almost always cane borer. I'd thin the canes out and get out the looking glasses because I'm betting you're just missing them.
