Propagating Mums

Can you start mums from last years plants in the spring.


Doug says that first thing in the spring you dig up the mums and divide them (you'll see the babies around the mother plant) Replant the babies and toss away the older mother plant for best growth.

Mums also root very quickly from tender stem cuttings - take about a 4-inch length of tender stem - put it in a glass of water. About a month later you should have roots.
