Planting a Strawberry Pot

How do you plant a strawberry pot?
Doug says - you get daylight neutral strawberries - they're the ones that bloom all summer. You fill the pot to the first hole and then insert one plant into that hole.
Water thoroughly.
Fill the pot to the second hole - insert a plant there (roots not the top - leave the tops out of the pot)
Water thoroughly.
Fill the pot to the next hole - insert a plant - - well, you get the picture.
You fill the pot as you're planting and water it in as you go so the soil settles before you fill the next level. Settling soil will pull the roots down and the plant into the pot if you don't water as you go.
Only use a peat-based artificial soil all the way to the bottom of the pot (nothing on the bottom).
Hope that helps.
