Pitcher Plant in Malaysia

Hi, I would like to share with you one of my favourite picture which I took at the Pitcher Plant garden back in my hometown, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. There are about 50 or more different types of pitcher plant in the garden. And there are some orchids flower also. Looking at the different shapes of the pitcher plants really amaze and excite me. So, I couldn't stop taking photo for them.

I live in Newcstle, NSW, Australia, - my ptcher plant is glorious and has a very exostic flower, - quite rare I believe. The plant and flower is basically green with red tinges. I love it!

I have more then ten pitcher plant in my house,. I have been planting for so many year.I have been planting trumpet pitcher plant,cobra pitcher plant,and most of all local pitcher plant which I brought from orang asli.

Sizes

They are in different sizes and shape, some of them are longer and "slimmer" in shape, whereby this one is kind of "chubby". Generally the average size is about 5"-6" tall and 2"-3" wide. Young Pitcher Plant is packed for tourist to purchase, is about USD$5.00 only.

This is a great photo. Makes me want to grow that in my garden...not likely in zone 5 of USA. Just how big is this pitcher? Does it it insects like most pitcher plants? How wonderful to get to see the different varieties of this plant.
