has anyone had success with wintering over trumpet vines on a NYC terrace zone 6 when above ground?

Doug says that he thinks it "should" be OK for this plant (it's a tough one) but if the temperatures really go to -5F. then you could have problems.

You should not have any trouble wintering over trumpet vine. My mother has one in ND and it gets to minus 45. put the pot in a garbage can full of sand if you're worried about it.
