Non-used coffee grounds?

Doug says you can yes. But you might want to experiment with using them as slug deterrents later in the summer. Caffeine has been shown to kill slugs and while used coffee grounds don't contain enough caffeine to do the trick - you might find some "deterrent" if not killing from unbrewed grounds. No guarantees on this but it's one thought. Otherwise, just toss them into the compost pile.
