Always wanted to grow these but the poisonous thing kept me from it because of children. They are gone, so I obtained two from a friend. Are only the seeds poisonous? Since children visit still, and they don't mess with my flowers. Is handling them a problem and should I be concerned about wearing gloves when handling or giving to neighbors? Thanks

about the Moon Flower
by: Anonymous

I have started a bunch of these and wanted to see what they look like and how big they get as well as how much room they require. I see you have them as well. I never have grown these but my mother did. But she told me they only bloom at night with the light from the moon and is why they called them Moon Flowers. But I see yours is growing and blooming during the day. How did you get them to and is it a Myth? lol Lovely ...I do hope mine gets that pretty. and are they not a vine? I thought they were. ^.^ Now may have to find another spot to place them. I was going to place them with a lattice in a corner of the front. But now not sure cause they look as though they need more room.

These are Datura

These are Datura and indeed they will take over an area. Simply understand they are poisonous. Lovely to look at though.
