Turning Garden Plants Into Houseplants
I get asked about turning garden plants into houseplants enough to post a series of articles. Some are easy and some, well... not so easy. I've started you off with a few posts about Poinsettia. This shrub is a warm zone plant that grows outdoors and yet, we bring it into our house for the Christmas season as it blooms in early winter in its native habitat (which doesn't see frost btw) :-)
I've also posted the reblooming instructions for Amaryllis. This is a tender bulb but one that lives outside all summner (frost free) no matter where you live. Call it a hybrid.
I'll continue to post notes about how outdoor garden plants live (or not) right here as I get asked about them.
Here are the eight most important things to understand about poinsettia care.
