Herbs not doing well

I recently planted some basil and parsley plants I purchased recently, after over 2 weeks they are just not taking off very well. What do you recommend? also what kind of food do you recommend?

Doug says that it does take plants some time to get their roots established and begin growing. Cold weather or lack of sunshine will also slow down the growth of herb plants.

I'd recommend patience. :-)

I also use fish emulsion on most of my plants - or any organic fertilizer (some are made with soybeans, some with alfalfa) will do the trick with your herb garden.

Lots of folks have had similar experience this year - when planting from seeds. Basil in particular. My parsley is only doing well in the sun, with manure added.
