grubs in my compost, kill or keep?

every time i turn my compost, i come across dozens of grubs. what can i use to get rid of these pest so i don't transfer them when i use my compost in my veggie or flower beds?

Doug says your compost isn't hot enough - you need to be adding more nitrogen sources (green material) so it will heat up and kill off insects such as this.

Frankly, I seldom worry about them when/if I find any insect larvae. I spread them on the garden along with everything else and the birds think I'm delivering lunch on wheels.

But if you're a bit more concerned than I am - you can always screen your compost - tossing the grubs into a bucket of water and the larger bits of uncomposted material back into the compost pile.
