Hi - I'm Doug Green and I write a weekly newsletter as one way to pass along things I've learned and to pay back some of the assistance I've received in creating my own gardens and life.
If you're looking for the short version of what's in it - here are the details:
Questions and answers from gardeners all over North America. I print 5-6 in every issue and link to others.
A weekly column on some aspect of gardening that catches my fancy. Some times in-depth information and sometimes a garden development that intrigues me.
Links to all manner of articles, questions and answers.
Contests with prizes - e-books and paper books mostly but often plants and tools are included.
Am I Selling Anything?
The newsletter is free. And you don't have to buy anything to subscribe. Nor do I expect you to - I answer questions as a way to pay back - not get paid now.
I do write ebooks and if you want to buy them, I'm delighted (hey, let's be real here - I have to make some money to pay for all the servers etc to run this little gardening adventure) :-)
But other than giving you links to them in the newsletter and giving readers a discount on new ones, you'll never get pestered about the e-books. (I'm too busy writing and gardening) :-)
How Often Does this Come Out?
It comes out once a week - on Thursdays.
It isn't published during December - hey, we're all too busy with Christmas.
Is it Organic?
You betcha. I've been organic most of my gardening life, ran my nursery for years using only organic techniques and believe that there is no need for chemicals in the home garden. All my advice is slanted that way.
Is This Secure? Do You Spam?
I use one of the Net's premium email servers and the security is second to none. Your name and email address are never shared or sold.
I only use your address to send you this newsletter and for no other reason. You'll never get any other than that.
I'd be kicked off this company if I spammed you so the short answer is that yes, it's secure and no I don't spam. I hate spammers.
Oh yeah, there's an unsubscribe link in every issue so you don't have to get it if you don't want it. (see the bottom of the page)
