Gardening

Container gardening is the hot new form of gardening (but what we forget is that it all started back with Nebuchadnezzar and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.)

What goes around – comes around. :-)

Soils and Stuff

Best soil for container gardening .  In any case, you’re probably looking for practical hints and tips on how to grow great plants in containers. I constantly do experiments to evaluate soils). Which plants work in containers (which plants don’t?) :-) And even some plans for you to try on your own.

Specific Plants in Containers

Rose in containers. My guess is that many gardeners want to grow their roses using container gardening methods. There’s absolutely no reason why you can’t do this and I’ve done it for the past twenty years or so – growing almost every kind of rose you can imagine in a pot (sometimes just to say I had done it) :-)

Container vegetable garden is a good idea if you have limited space.  There's nothing like a fresh salad out of your own garden, even if you live on the 25th floor of downtown Manhattan.

Fresh container tomato gardening is probably number one on everybody's list of things to grow.

Herb container gardening.  Once you grow the vegetables and tomatoes, you're going to want to grow your herbs this way as well.

Organic container gardening.  Here are a few tips on specialized gardening.

Bulb Container Gardening.  There are few things in the spring nicer than seeing a fresh container full of flowering builbs.  Here's the timing you need to do this in youir own backyard.
