compost tea in late fall

Should compost tea be brewed and sprayed on the garden until freeze-up in the fall?

Doug says that in practical terms, I don't. When the garden starts slowing down (no more new growth) with reduced light levels, I stop brewing tea. There's no reason why you couldn't, I just don't see the benefit of doing this work.
