Camellia sasanqua 'Kanjiro'

Lots of sasanquas bloom in my Ca zone 9 garden from late October through February. This phenomenon seems to make some Cold Climate Gardeners go south for the winter.

Sophisticated picture....it calls to me for sure at this time of year.

Just about impossible to grow these in my neck of the woods even in the summer. Too hot and dry and soil that isn't acid enough to suit. Does well at the coast though, even in the north.

Keep em comin'! We can use all the colour we can get right now.
