Butterfly with Wild Sunflowers

While visiting back east in my homestate of Illinois and walking with relatives through a housing development with a natural pond, I came upon butterflies making stops at these wild sunflowers. Illinois is trying to recapture the natural settings by letting native plants grow in urban areas. The wind was pretty brisk but I was able to capture one butterfly and get a result which I'm delighted with. I hope you are too, enjoy it.

Patty what a beautiful picture ! You caught a stunning moment in time there. Hope you kept the large format to print as a picture if you shot it with a digital camera. I forget to do that and have lost some great ones because I resized it too small.

thank you! it's a great picture and I have lots of these growing around the perimeter of our yard and was curious as what they were. We live in southeast wi.
