blackened Peonies

The Peonies looked beautiful when they were in bloom. The leaves had black spots now most of the plant looks dead. Is there any hope for this plant or is this normal for the end of season. I haven't grown peonies before I moved here a year ago the plant was already here and I sure its been here for a few years. Live in 5b (I think).


Doug says it's botrytis. Good picture though.
