Nessus Sphinx

Your moth is a Nessus sphinx moth.
They do kind of look like hummingbirds as they fly around during the day and at dusk looking for nectar from flowers.
This moth is found in the eastern US and Canada.
According to bugguide.net the larvae feed on Ampelopsis, grape, and cayenne pepper.
These are fun to see.
