black spots on green tomatoes

My green tomatoes now have tiny black spots on them. This does not look like blossom end rot. What could it be?

Doug says that black spots on tomatoes could be aphid excrement from nearby leaves, check for high levels of aphids.

If not on bottom or bottom to sides ....

Could be stinkbugs - they leave little indentations

Could be bacterial canker or a fungus of some kind.

It's really hard to tell you what they are when I can't see them nor have anything other than "black spots" as a symptom.
