We planted this beautiful white dogwood many years ago. It is next to the driveway and near the breezeway entrance. This lovely tree has survived years of basketball abuse, 3 separate attacks from the 7 year cicadas, many weather-related disasters, but has continued to provide us with 4 season delights: winter beauty, spring blooms, summer wrens' nests, fall burgandy splendor! It's our FAVORITE TREE!

Thanks for describing the pleasures of having such a tree. I was "sleeping on" the idea for a while and "Surprise, Surprise!" the tree next door planted a baby in my Flowering Quince!
