Allectus Grub Control - Organic?

by Robin

A lawn care company is trying to convince me that Allectus, which they apply for grub prevention and control, is organic. I suspect that it is just another weapon in the chemical arsenal; probably effective, but also probably unnecessary overkill.
Thanks for any information you can provide.

Doug says that Allectus contains Imidacloprid and Bifenthrin. These are not certified organic. Period.

I have to tell you I really hate it when somebody uses the word "organic" because they don't know what they're talking about or because they don't care. These chemicals are derived from naturally occurring products but that doesn't qualify them as organic.

Your lawn care company is blowing smoke up your anatomy and isn't to be trusted. Either that or they're just ignorant of what organic really means. Either way...

This is a bad way for the lawn care industry to operate. Period.
